WARNING.

This is a dangerous property and should not be entered at any time.
If you read the notices pinned to the cabins they warn against asbestos.

Caldwell House was a fine building in its time; from 1930-1947 it was a residential home for people with additional support needs.

We arrived at around 9:30 just before it got dark.
We read the warning signs and complied with them.
We walked around the building and looked inside various windows and doorways.
It was very ‘atmospheric’ around the grounds.
We held a vigil outside the doorway in the short tunnel. We thought we heard a noise but couldnt decide if it was the wind or not.
We would have liked to go into the building but we gave the respect of adhering to the warnings and decided that Caldwell House had indeed been a very impressive building and hope that the residents were well taken care of and happy during their time there.

No proper investigation was completed but we took photos which you can view.
